escaped dogs

As I said, we're house-sitting...and pet-sitting as well. Lindsey got knocked over at the door, and so Moses and Maggie quickly escaped, and were not to be seen for 4 hours. When they finally did stumble home, there was a new scent in the air. Apparently they had made a new friend, and had actually partied with Pépé le Peu for quite some time. So the crown jewel of our day was a midnight wash.

in the weeds

Traveling to the ATL and to the West Coast was fun and all, but sometimes when I travel, I tend to forget some household responsibilities.
I went home to check the mail (because we're house-sitting), and the grass on the lawn was actually higher than that of the surrounding fields. My lawn mower was groaning the entire time. Believe it or not, I actually had a reptilian stow-away...some lizard decided to ride along as I was mowing. After I snapped the phone pic, I encouraged him to find a safer area.

Danny & Cassie's Wedding

We just finished up a wedding at Tennessee River Place for Danny and Cassie, and had a great time with them and their friends and family. Thankfully Hurricane Humberto gave us a bit of sunny relief from the downpours for a beautiful ceremony. Here are a few images from the wedding. The last picture is one of my favorites; John is giving Cassie some insprirational posing ideas! Too bad, he will never live this down.

New Friends!

We are back in Tennessee getting ready for Danny & Cassie's wedding today at the Tennessee Riverplace. We had such a great time meeting new friends in LA. Some of our new friends are Meggie Valasco, Dave with Tosti Studios, Mike with Mango Tree Photography, Raya Carlisle with Pink Penny, and Jefferson Todd just to name a few.
John and I feel very encouraged and inspired! We are excited to get back to work!

Pacific Coast Highway!

After our photo shoots at Gordon Biersch on Tuesday, we decided to take a drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. Let's just say, we got lost. There was this detour...it was so curvy and steep! However, we got some great pictures along the way. The coast is so beautiful. Then we had some fun at the Santa Monica Pier. We got to see a film crew shooting a new pilot show called Moonlight. It is about a vampire detective!

Sprinkles!

John and I were walking around Rodeo Drive when we saw this line outside of a place called Sprinkles. We figured that whatever they had MUST be worth waiting for. We found out from the people in front of us that it was a cupcake place. They are so concerned about the freshness, that despite how long the line is, the door must remain closed. Let's just say, they were AWESOME cupcakes!

Rodeo Drive!

John and I are loving it here in LA! The weather is too perfect! Doesn't John look so cute in this picture!
